Successful Completion of POC for Mangrove Reforestation in Bodu, Hainan National Mangrove Conservation Park

We are excited to announce the successful completion of our Proof of Concept (POC) for the mangrove reforestation project! This initiative was made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of Mr. Jimmy Tsang from Goldlion, whose invaluable support has helped turn our vision into reality.

The results have been promising, showcasing the potential for large-scale mangrove restoration and its significant benefits for biodiversity and coastal protection. As we look to the future, we are eager to invite more organizations to explore the opportunities within this essential conservation effort and integrating it into their ESG strategies.

Mangrove Ecosystem Field Trip with Leading Scientists and Ecologists for an Immersive Learning Experience focused on Mangrove Conservation and Restoration. These esteemed scientists shared their extensive knowledge and guided us through the intricacies of mangrove habitats.

Over the course of the day, GreenieVerse team gained a deep understanding of mangrove tree species, their unique adaptations, and the vital ecological functions they serve. The scientists also provided rich insights into the current threats facing mangrove forests globally, as well as proven techniques for successful mangrove restoration and reforestation.

Blue Carbon Signing.jpg

GreenieVerse, a leading ESG projects platform, has signed a MoU with the Hainan International Blue Carbon Research Centre. This strategic partnership aims to explore the vast opportunities presented by blue carbon projects.

Together, the two organizations will identify suitable locations, design and implement blue carbon projects, and ensure the long-term sustainability and monitoring of these initiatives. This will involve activities such as mangrove restoration, seagrass bed rehabilitation, and the creation of new coastal habitats that can capture and store significant amounts of carbon. This partnership represents a pioneering step forward in unlocking the potential of blue carbon and demonstrating how environment stewardship and corporate responsibilities can go hand-in hand.

GreenieVerse's CEO was invited to share some insights on the opportunities for blue carbon projects and their collaboration with Hong Kong's ESG disclosure requirements at the Hainan Blue Carbon Forum 2024. The forum brought together blue carbon experts and professors from around the world to discuss the latest development in the emerging field.

Blue Carbon projects, which focus on the sequestration and storage of carbon in coastal and marine ecosystem, present a unique opportunity in the context of Hong Kong's evolving ESG disclosure landscape. Hong Kong has been making steady progress in strengthening its ESG reporting standards, with the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEX) introducing new and enhanced Climate Related Disclosure Requirements in recent years.
